In order to comply with certain security policies, Apple apparently changed the way iPhone and iPod touch devices connect to Exchange servers in iPhone OS 3.1. As noted by AppleInsider, many users found out the hard way that their Exchange support broke on anything but the iPhone 3GS. The reason for the downgrade in functionality was due to hardware encryption required to connect to Exchange servers—something only the newest of iPod touch (32GB and 64GB) and the iPhone 3GS have.

companion photo for Windows Marketplace for Mobile kill switch details clarified

Microsoft recently gave more details on Windows Marketplace for Mobile during the Tech Ed New Zealand 2009 session titled “Distributing and Monetizing Applications through Windows Marketplace Mobile,” led by Loke Uei Tan, Senior Product Manager on the Windows Mobile Team. companion photo for A trip down memory lane and beyond at Vintage Computer Fest

This past weekend, we spent some time among the computer enthusiasts at the Vintage Computer Fest East, hosted by the Mid-Atlantic Retro Computing Hobbyists.
